For the second year in a row our club president, Mark Robertson, has been selected to compete in the Extreme Mustang Makeover competition in Fort Worth, Texas in Sepetember. This competition requires the selected trainers to pick up their untamed mustangs and then they have 100 days to train them and take them to Ft. Worth to compete with them. Last years competiton was fierce. The training abilty of all of the trainers was awesome!! On this page you will be able to see the progress Mark is making with "Maverick", the chosen name of his mustang. Understand that the trainiers don't get to keep their mustangs. They must offer them up for adoption immediately after the competiton, but they do have the option to bid on their mustang if they wish. Many of the trainers fell in love with their mustangs last year and adopted them & took them home. Many of them adpoted for several thousand dollars!! A hundred days is not a lot of time to train a horse of any breed, but considering the fact that these horses had never even been haltered until they were picked up for this competition, this task seems exceptionally difficult.
